Direct Action

Practical tailor-made support for everyone involved in delivering day services.

The Direct Action Development Programme is a new service based upon the findings of the NDT "Changing Days" and SHS "Changeover" projects. While both highlighted the positive things already happening in day services, they acknowledged the need for more support and training in order to bring about these changes.

The scheme works to offer sensibly priced diagnosis and workshops for all involved in providing day services. It accepts that there are practical and financial difficulties in making radical changes, but seeks to explore the many innovative things that can be done.

Who are we?

Made up of experienced practitioners, the team has many years of practice working in this area. By pooling our knowledge and experience we have cultivated a range of training and development approaches designed to bring about positive change. We aim to put our strategies at your disposal.

Finding out more

We will be happy to send you a Direct Action Pack and questionnaire. One of our team will then spend a "Diagnostic Day" with you looking at where you are now and what you would like to change. You will receive a full written report covering the issues raised, options discussed, and a costed plan of recommendations.

If you wish, you can then proceed to the next stage where the recommended strategies will be developed.

For a fuller explanation of the Direct Action Development Programme please contact the NDT on 0161 228 7055.
